Kristina Machanic
I am passionate about details, and know how the littlest things can make the biggest impact. Planning a wedding involves many moving parts, and I strive to take the wheel so that my clients can enjoy the ride, all while directing me where to go. I have worked in the restaurant and catering industry for decades, managing staff and ensuring smooth operations at the back of the house, so that all guests notice is the fabulous time they're having.
I love living in Vermont and am honored to help my clients approach their big day with the confidence and peace of mind that I'm going to make sure every little thing is perfect. I am also a freelance editor and am trained in mediation and alternative dispute resolution, so being meticulous and communicating effectively are my strong suits. And when tricky situations arise, I can facilitate respectful communication and help everyone feel heard, included and appreciated.

Start-to-Finish Planning
Even the simplest backyard weddings require planning, and even the most elaborate and formal affairs can feel simple to plan... and I will help with either and everything in between. If you'd like a right-hand woman from day one, I can meet with you to discover what's most important to you starting with date and location all the way through to place cards and S'mores by the bonfire.
My full-service planning covers all the bases through to the big day, where I will be on site to make sure everything is in place and you are relaxed and free to soak in the moments!
Vendor Management
If you've already made the big decisions of when, where and who, I can step in and take care of managing the coordination of the whole team. There are many cross-reference points between the venue, the rental company and the caterer and bar. I make sure all involved have what they need, when they need it. Rental companies need a basic list to start with, and that gets updated as guest counts finalize and menus are fine-tuned. From dietary restrictions to special accommodations,
I will track it all and make sure we're all working together to make
the magic happen.
Day-of-Coordination
Even if you have planned everything yourselves down to the T, when the big day comes you don't want to be worrying about the florist or the table settings. I can help you be in two places at once by caring as much as you do about everything running smoothly and being in the right place. From decorating to receiving deliveries from vendors to managing the order of events throughout the reception, I am
there to steer the ship while you revel in the joy of celebrating
with your loved ones.
Something Borrowed
Your celebration deserves those beautiful touches to make the day sparkle, and I can provide the something borrowed to fill in the details. I have a select inventory of decor items such as candle holders, wine barrel buckets for favors, lawn sign easels and elegant beverage dispensers that you can rent for the day. Leave set-up and break down to me. I can also source greenery and have loads of ideas for simple and affordable DIY projects for table numbers and place cards.

We love all of the shapes and sizes families come in, and I pride myself on using my mediation skills to smooth out any wrinkles that may arise when accommodating complex family structures. Be it blending families or parents with new partners, I can help ensure everyone feels welcome and part of the celebration. Adapting traditions to fit YOUR needs is most important, and creating new ways to acknowledge and involve everyone you care about is what makes a wedding special and full of memorable moments.
